Back 2 Basix was developed to teach life skills to the student athlete through athletics. B2B is guided by six principles; respect, honesty, responsibility, accountability, community and empowerment. All of these play a part in life as well as athletics for the student athlete.
It is the mission of Back2Basix to assist todays student athlete with the basic skills and knowledge of academics and athletics that will enable the student athlete to lead a more fulfilling and productive life in society as an adult.
B2B focuses on the basics of basketball for all skill levels ages 7-17. The coaches at B2B have either played college basketball, coached college basketball and/or have played professional basketball. B2B believes that the experience that has been gained by its coaches over their basketball careers as well as life experiences should be shared with the student athlete.
There are a number of student athlete in the community that are faced with the challenge of trying to prepare themselves for society and adulthood but lack the skills and ability to make that journey alone. Back2Basix gives the support and guidance during these critical times for the student athlete.
The community residents, parents and the student athlete heavily influence the decision making of Back2Basix. Back2Basix will work closely with community business owners and leaders to help provide sponsorship for the student athlete who may not be financially afford to attend Back2Basix.
